Access to the Airport

Access to the hotel complex from the airport (28 kilometres away) is relatively easy as it has bases for all the major car rental companies, a steady supply of Taxi services or private shuttle busses which cost an average of R300 to get you to the apartment from the airport.

 

Local Convenience

The Dolphin Beach Hotel complex is no more than 2.5 kilometres from Bayside Mall which hosts two leading grocery outlets. As well as this, it is only 8.7 kilometres to Canal Walk Shopping Centre –The largest mall in the Western Cape- which proudly boasts a variety of: restaurants, banks, big brand clothing outlets and a cinema complex.

 

Business Travellers

Business travellers will be happy to know that, the apartment is within a short driving distance of all the major business hubs, including Cape Town city centre, Century City, Paarden Eiland industrial district and the northern suburbs. A new bus transport system called MyCiTi, which is convenient, reliable and affordable operates near the hotel, with a station located less than 2.5 kilometres away. If the internet is a must-have in your line of work, the hotel does offer the ability for guests to purchase internet access.

 

Fitness

For those of us who enjoy their fitness, Dolphin Beach offers a wide variety of interesting activities and opportunities. Within walking distance there is a Virgin Active Gym, which is no more than 2.5 kilometres away from the Hotel. There are also four golf courses less than 15 kilometres away: Milnerton, Atlantic Beach, Rondebosch and Durbanville. Most interesting of all though, Dolphin Beach is world renowned for its kite surfing with a hire shop less than a kilometre away that rents out all essential equipment for anybody interested in trying out the sport.

 

Promenade and Big Bay

Less than 500 metres away from the hotel, you will find the popular Blouberg promenade which is perfect for leisurely strolls along the beach, slipping into one of the nearby trendy coffee bars or frequenting the independent ice-cream parlours. The promenade stretches to Big Bay which is a 9 kilometre walk there and back from the hotel which is accompanied with truly breath-taking views of Table Mountain, Robben Island and heart-warming sunsets.

 

Casino and Theme Park

For those who like to chase a thrill and tempt lady luck, the apartment is only 17 kilometres away from the popular Ratanga Junction Theme Park and GrandWest Casino (Africa’s largest entertainment destination of its kind in South Africa).

 

Cape Town Attractions

The apartment is only 16 kilometres from many desirable city centre Cape Town destinations like: The Victoria and Albert Waterfront, The Castle, boating excursions, helicopter flights, shark cage diving and access to the Table Mountain cable car. For an exceptional panorama of the Cape Town Bay Harbour at sunset, take a short drive to the flat top of Signal Hill to catch an uninterrupted view of the whole city. For a truly exceptional view of Cape Town Bay Harbour and the whole Atlantic coast ride the cable car to the top of Table Mountain.

Table Mountain
